Again, we not too excited with a new Yamaha product, YZF-R125 which has been announced for Europe market. It is not about the design or the technical issues, but we don’t want to await this bike to meet Malaysian market. Furthermore, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) did not give any feedback regarding the R125.
Instead of Honda CBR125R, KTM Duke 125 or Aprilia 125, YZF-R135 may a tough contender. YZF R125 2014 clearly shows a radical design gained from R6 and R1 cues. From the images, YZF R125 could provide a really fun ride. Its radical bodywork is a direct spin off from our World Championship winning R6. And with class-leading features like upside down front forks, aluminium swing arm and a short-stroke liquid-cooled engine, the YZF-R125 is built to thrill. Several choices of colours available: Gray, Red and Race Blu.
R125 powered by 124.7 cc fuel injected single-cylinder get a pair upside-down fork, radial-mount front brake calliper and a modern LCD instrumentation. Unfortunately, is Yamaha planned to bring R125 to Malaysia? Yet, I cant be sure. But, if R125 would be brought here, it may become such a big money for HLYM.
