Kawasaki Versys 650: Still Relevant

Versatile and flexible!

One of the way to relaxing mind in the midst of busy working life, some people love to get a long ride and feel the adventurous journey. From various option in the market, Kawasaki Versys 650 still one of favorite choice.

Versys is quite popular these days due to its reliability, low maintenance and acceptable performance. Although this model has been in the market for a few years ago, it seems still relevant and until today. Further, it helps to prevent high depreciation second value.

Versys is a combination of two words - versatile and systems. Kawasaki Malaysia offers two variants in the Malaysian market - 1000cc and 650cc. So far, We did not heard any rumor of replacement model to the existing 650 Versys.

Arguably, Versys is one of versatile bike which it could provide outstanding performance in any task needed. Even in traffic congestion, urban areas until crossing boundaries, it can be handled easily, reliable and durability.

From the looks, it have aggressive style which described its dynamic flexibility and strength of the character. This machine is suitable for medium-sized users, especially for the Asian. The height of this bike can be changed to suit the rider's spec.

When I sat on the bike, I can feel the ergonomic features. The tank is not too big and it gives comfort distance to reach the handlebars. The pedal position placed in the right angle to makes sure the rider get the best posture, comfortable and not tiring in long journey.

On the highway, the height of the bike helps me to predict traffic conditions ahead. Versys 650 is powered by two-cylinder engine 649cc parallel twin. 650 Versys engine equipped with digital fuel injection system to control better combustion and power distributions.

Compact liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine is tuned low for low and mid- range torque to allow riders to open the throttle at any time for responsive power. The parallel twin gave some real punch with respectful 64hp. I enjoyed with torque and it can reach 160 km/j easily. Versys 650 maneuverable and stable at low speed, but, I got some issues of vibration but not too cranky with it.  It is easy to handle this bike. However, some sort of uncomfortable with the front suspension when I struck into deep holes or squeaky bumps.

Overall, after I ridden Versys 650, factors of versatility, performance, economical fuel consumption and price are the main reason to its relevancy.
