Art of Speed Asia goes on Malaysia tour with our local icons!

From shiny American muscle cars to rustic looking Harley-Davidsons or Triumphs, those are two but of the many uncanny sights greeting enthusiastic visitors of Art of Speed Asia 2014 that happened last June in KL. Besides those who were present to witness it, many would have heard of the event that brought the local customization scene to the next level - organized by Switchblade Kuala Lumpur, a rock and roll boutique and avid enthusiast of Kustom Kulture. Now, the organizer is bringing all the local icons on a tour to introduce the fascinating automotive culture to those who were not able to come to Kuala Lumpur to attend the show. Their first stop is Meru, Ipoh.
Art of Speed Asia is collaborating with Tourism Perak Sdn Bhd (TPSB), a joint venture company with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNP) to host the “Blue Jackets Ipoh Speed Fest 2014” that is happening at Casuarina Hotel parking lot, Meru Ipoh on this coming 13 and 14 September 2014.
The event is featuring high fast-paced, thrilling auto tarmac and exhibitions for all car and bike enthusiasts. Activities planned for the show would be photography clinic and contest, joyride, blood donation campaign, stage acts, bike convoys, bazaars and custom show by Art of Speed Asia complete with their winning vehicles from the show this year. This event is targeted to boost Perak economic and tourism growth as it will also acts as a platform for gathering and encouraging automotive players, existing and potential to build stronger industry engagements.
Art of Speed Malaysia Icon Tour will be featuring Best of Show 2013/14 winners; Chopper Ministry, Abah & Sons Co. Motoworks, Big Cat Motor Art, RM Restorations, G.A.F Speed Shop, TIGA, Nashr Abd Aziz, Kean Yap and Sean Eu. There will also be mini Art Gallery, BMX Clinic, Kustoms and Coffee sessions, BBQ, Graffiti, bands and charity event for Gaza.
Visitors stand a chance to win a Tour Package 7D/5N to Yokohama 23rd Annual Hot Rod & Custom Show 2014 held on 7th December 2014.
Participants of Art of Speed Malaysia Icon tour will also stand to win Best of Show competition categories in Car, Motorcycle and Lowrider bicycle. The festival will be launched by YB Dato’ Harun Rawi, mayor of Ipoh city on 13th September 2014. The main organizer of this event, Perak Tourism Sdn Bhd is expecting about 80,000 to 100,000 visitors from all over Perak, and other northern regions.
