KTM DUKE 390


A few months ago, KTM Malaysia (Motonation Manufacturer Sdn Bhd) came up with the 690 Duke R. Later, KTM once again put some pressure on the the two-wheelers player in the industry. Acknowledge for its extreme image and performance, KTM pushing more striking orange color into the domestic market. 



The new family member to local assembly machines, the Duke 390 not have much difference with the Duke 200 in the perspective of size and the looks. It seems to be differentiated by the engines and some tiny parts.



Duke 390 is powered by the 375cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The unique technology of KTM produces high torque figures and make it as the top choice in the stunt shows. Several important principles have been put forward in the introduction of this latest product - which is light, agile, fun, compact, economical and affordable. 



375cc engine capable in producing maximum power of 44 bhp at 9500rpm and 35Nm of maximum torque at 7250rpm . The amount of power generated from the engine is transferred through a six-speed gearbox . Four- valve DOHC engine units were matched with Bosch EFI injection technology. Other than that, WP suspension system, alloy rims with Metzler tires and lightweight body frame.



390 Duke design preferred ergonomics riding style. The tank design has been streamlined to get the best knee position while riding . Duke 390 is equipped with four-piston caliper with Brembo 300mm discs at the front. While at the rear , it uses a single piston calipers with 230mm Brembo discs . Braking capabilities supported by the Bosch ABS system 9MC Two Channel .



Alloy wheels 17 inch orange raise the character of this motard . It is wrapped in tires size 110/70 ZR 17 at the front and 150/60 ZR 17 on the rear.
KTM Malaysia CKD looks confident to the uniqueness of their latest products, then they intend to put sales target of 150 units until the end of this year and 500 units next year. With an offer price of RM27, 935.10 (on road price), the Duke 390 is able to compete with several models from Honda and Kawasaki brand .
