MV Agusta F3 675

It may unforgettable for the next 100 year. MV Agusta, a legendary two wheels machine inventor keeps on the right track for their revival. A few weeks done tested the Triumph Street Triple 675, then I got a chance to ride the sexiest bike in the world, MV Agusta F3.

As you know, MV is an exclusive brand here in Malaysia, and of course, not many of us could afford one unless your wife is daughter to minister.

F3 675 features an exotic design, sexy and each curve on the body should be appreciated. The sound of the engine is very as it attached with Yoshimura exhaust systems.
At the beginning point, I found that there is uncertain revving at normal speed. At that moment, I think this bike had a technical problem. After that, I chose to use highway and I put in dial big twist to the Ride-by-Wire throttle. Finally, I can feel the response from the three –cylinder engine.

F3 675 engine has 126 horsepower at 14,400rpm and produces 71Nm of torque at 10,600 rpm. Initially, at the lower rev, even it has a terrible engine revving, the F3 is such a good boy, but after the throttle twisted to the max, you would love it.

This middle-weight supersport has a new dynamic electronic control system: Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS). The system allows control the power levels and the traction control in specific situation differently. The F3 has Sport, Normal, Rain and Custom riding modes. The difference is the sensitively of the throttle, engine torque delivery, engine braking, engine responsiveness and the rpm limit.

In my opinion, this compact bike has the perfect balance between the aspects of mechanical engineering, material used and electronic technology attached. F3 chassis has been designed for dynamic performance that offers comfort in all riding conditions.  I love the single swing-arm and of course, it contributes to the F3 attractiveness. Due to the performance workaholic, F3 get Marzocchi 43mm fork on the front and Sachs piggy-back at the rear. Braking system, Brembo calipers are well function in both front and rear wheels.

I twist the throttle and kick in the 6-speed gears alongside the quick-shifter system which allowed me changing gear number without using the clutch. Approximately, I reached 250 km/h easily. Speeding at 150 km/h, my pillion was stubbornly to hold me by using her both hands. She said, she doesn’t scare and she is very confident enough at the back.
Riding position is comfortable and ergonomics enough, but after an hour on the slim seat, my butt got numbness. Similarly to the pillion, probably it is because of the impacts from the terrible road surfaces.
